A Round Tuit (47), and Clothes Upcycling Challenge, day 2

Welcome to this week's 'Round Tuit'  and to the second day of my Clothes Upcycling Challenge - where I work my way through my stash of clothes during the month of May, finding ways to upcycle them, and featuring other people's ideas and tutorials on clothes upcycling!

First of all to my upcycle for today...

Another bag! This time for taking wine to a friend's house for dinner - or even to give a bottle as a gift!
I used a pair of white kids trousers (I know, white is not the best colour for kids) - and these no longer fit my girls, and have stains on that just won't wash out - so definitely good for upcycling!

First I cut the legs from the trousers - and drew 2 circles on the remaining parts to cut for the base of the bags. (this is to make 2 bags the same)

So for each bag, pin the circle to the cut part of the trouser leg..

And stitch into place (right sides together of course)

Using a seam ripper, make a small hole in the seam near what is now the top of your bag - restitch on either side so the rest of the stitching doesn't unravel..

Then fold the end in and stitch to form the casing for the little drawstring.

Then I decided to add a little bling, with a set of discarded beads, just pinned and stitched into place..

And Voila!!  A wine bottle gift bag!

Another quick and easy 15 min project..
All wrapped up and ready to go!

And now to this week's Round Tuit:
MOTIVATION and INSPIRATION are the key factors behind my Monday posts and opportunity to link up and encourage, motivate and inspire each other....with your very own ROUND TUIT

Tuits are very hard to come by, especially the round ones. For years people have been saying, "I'll do it as soon as I get a round tuit". Well now you can have one of your very own, and all those jobs that have needed doing will finally get done!

Thanks to everyone who linked up last week, here are my favourites:

First of all, this really cute 'chocolate' headband from 'The Littlest Crafter":

Isn't it gorgeous? I love the idea of using the chocolate ribbon for this!
For more very cute ideas, head on over to her blog at:

What a great size for the market - and I love all kinds of recycling too!
Courtney has lots of fantastic ideas on her blog -so do go and take a look:

Great, environmentally friendly party decorations! I love them, and they inspired me to make some of my own for my daughter's birthday at the weekend!

So please feel free to link up your posts - maybe it's a project you've completed that you're proud of - something you have wanted to get done for a while and need some extra motivation to get going on it - or you'd just like some of that fabulous encouragement, praise and motivation that bloggers are so good at spreading around.

Remember if it's a clothes upcycling project, you can also link to my long term linky on the clothes upcycling project page here:

Whatever the reason - grab your very own "Round Tuit" button (see sidebar), and link up.
Then head on over to some of the other links and praise, encourage and motivate.
I'll feature my favourite posts next week.
(by linking up here you're giving me permission to use photos from your linked post on my blog)

OH and I've decided to splash out (since it's nearly my birthday) and pay to get thumbnail picture links! Words are fantastic, but as they say, a picture tells a thousand words!

So come on, link up - tell your friends,  share the encouragement by visiting some other blogs and let's get this party started!

OOOOHH WAIT!! I almost forgot - Please Please Please, could you click on the button to vote for me again. The ranks have been reset on the fence and we're all back to the starting line!  This is my chance to catch up and reach my goal of top ten!!
Go on, it only takes a second to click!

Thank you!!!!
